Cronos Yacht Design Concept by Simone Madella & Lorenzo Berselli

Cronos Yacht Design concept is a design submission from Simone Madella and Lorenzo Berselli, Italian students who are currently studying BYT (bike, yacht and train) class at the European Institute of Design. Cronos Yacht Design concept has received a special mention in the “Young Professional” category during the Millenium Yacht Design Award (MYDA) with special quote “interesting experimentation in expressive language applied to interior architecture, with particular to the value of wood and its use forms”.

Cronos

This Cronos Yacht Design concept was originated from a reflection focused on a contemporary boat design. These days, super fast yet super polluting mega yachts are very popular, moreover today’s boats aren’t just considered as vehicles to explore and enjoy the sea anymore, they have become luxurious sea-view apartments and unfortunately most boats end up moored in harbors all the time. These things cause discontinuity and incoherence between interiors and exteriors.
